Shawdesh Desk: A Dhaka court set January 30 for submitting probe report in a case filed against five, including now Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice-President (VP) Nurul Haq Nur, for allegedly assaulting Rokeya Hall provost Zeenat Huda.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sorafuzzaman Ansari set the date as investigation officer (IO) failed to submit the report today.

According to the case documents, the accused on the morning of March 11 during the voting of Ducsu, tried to spread rumor among the students. As the hall provost tried to calm things down, they assaulted her and abused other students too.
Dhaka University student Marjuka Raina on that day filed the case against five with Shahbagh Police Station.

The five accused are- Nurul Haq Nur, Bangladesh Student Union leader Liton Nandi, Chattradal leader Anisur Rahman, Chattra Federation leaders Umme Habiba Benzir and Sheikh Moushumi.

The plaintiff also accused 30-40 unnamed persons in the case.
